RISEUP Refund Policy

At RISEUP, we strive to create an exceptional experience for all our event participants. We understand that sometimes situations arise where you may have questions about our refund process. This document aims to clarify our refund policy for registrations made through our platform.

General Policy

  1. Registration Fee: The registration fee for scholarship categories is mandatory and non-refundable, and it cannot be disputed under any circumstances.
  2. Agreement to Terms: Before completing your registration for fully and partially funded applications, you must review and agree to our terms and conditions. This step is essential for ensuring transparency.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds will be issued as credit vouchers under specific conditions outlined below. These vouchers can be used for future RISEUP events.

  • Fully Funded and Partially Funded Applicants: The registration fee for these categories is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Self-Funded Applicants: If you pay the full registration fee, you may be eligible for refunds in the form of RISEUP Credit Vouchers (CCVs) under certain conditions. However, those who pay a discounted registration fee are not eligible for refunds or credit vouchers.

Conditions for RISEUP Credit Vouchers

  • The full conference fee must be paid in a single transaction (not in installments).
  • Requests for credit vouchers must be submitted via email at least 45 days before the event starts.
  • If you submit a request 30 days prior, a 50% cancellation fee will apply, and the remaining amount will be issued as a CCV.
  • If you submit a request 15 days prior, a 75% cancellation fee will apply, with the remaining amount issued as a CCV.
  • Requests made less than 15 days before the event will result in a 100% cancellation fee, and no CCV will be issued.

RISEUP Credit Voucher Terms

  1. Validity: CCVs are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.
  2. Non-Transferable: CCVs can only be used by the original recipient and are non-transferable.
  3. No Cash Value: CCVs cannot be redeemed for cash.
  4. Partial Redemption: If the CCV value exceeds the registration fee for a future event, the remaining balance will be carried forward for future use.
  5. Usage Limitation: CCVs can only be applied to RISEUP-organized events.

Special Circumstances

In cases of unforeseen events such as natural disasters or political instability, RISEUP will evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Refund Request Process

To request a refund or credit voucher, please email us at info@theRISEUP.org with the subject line: “Refund Request – [Event Name].” Include the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Order Number
  • Reason for Refund Request
  • Supporting Documentation (if applicable)

Travel Reimbursement Policy for Fully Funded Delegates

Fully funded delegates will be reimbursed for travel expenses after the event. To receive reimbursement, delegates must complete a reimbursement form with their bank details and other necessary information. Reimbursements will be processed within 4-8 weeks of receiving the completed form.

Invitation-Only Category

  • The registration fee paid to obtain an invitation letter is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • It is the delegate’s responsibility to secure a visa; RISEUP will only provide an invitation letter to assist with the visa process.
